Sailing in Croatia

We left the harbor wall at Sipanska Luka around 9:30 a.m. and headed to Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik was to the south and the winds were from the south, so sailing was out of the question. We arrived at ACI Dubrovnik around 1 p.m.

 

 

 

 

After settling in, having lunch, etc, we set out to visit old town Dubrovnik around 4 p.m.

Monument of Ivan Gundulic, a Dubrovnik poet, in Gundulic Square.

Monument to Croatian Renaissance playwright Marin Držic. The statue features a polished nose, which visitors touch for good luck. The inscription at the base denotes Držic's lifespan from 1508 to 1567.
