We were able to sail the entire way from Vis Town to Uvula Vinogradisce on a broad reach. Arrived around 1:30 p.m., dropped anchor, then Jason tied 2 lines ashore -- Michael was concerned that with only one line, the current might push us toward nearby rocky shore.
After Jen fixed a nice lunch, we got into the dinghy to go ashore in order to cross to the other side to the ACI Marina. On the way to the shore, the dinghy motor quit; we thought it was out of gas. This was more problematic than it might otherwise have been since one of the oars had been lost on a previous day. Jen rowed us to the shore using just the one oar as a paddle and Jason walked along the rocky shore to Arcturus, used one of the lines to return to the boat, got the gas can and retraced the steps to return to the dinghy on the shore, where we were waiting. All this took about 20 minutes. And of course he was soaked. Michael was about to fill the dinghy engine, then noticed the tank was full. He had forgotten to open the fuel line. He said he would have tried to fake pouring gas into the tank so Jason wouldn't feel so bad for all the wasted effort, but the tank was just too full. As usual, Jason took this in his usual good stride.
We found our way to the ACI Marina and took a water taxi to Hvar Town. We arrived at Hvar Town at 4:30 PM, with 3 hours to look around.
