Sailing in Croatia

We pulled away from Trstenik around 11 a.m. Winds were initially about 14 knots in a direction favorable for sailing as we left the bay, then shifted 45 degrees by the time we reached the channel, to the Southwest, our heading. We motor-sailed, pointing as high as Arcturus would permit, for about 90 minutes, then gave in to the reality that we needed to arrive at Sipanska Luka before dark, dropped sails and motored.

 

 

 

 

 

This 118 WallyPower yacht, known as Galeocerdo, features a distinct angular, stealth-bomber-inspired design and a matte green hull. It is powered by three gas turbines that allow for a maximum speed of 60 knots. It was featured in the 2005 film The Island.
