Sailing in Croatia

We pulled away from the harbor wall at 9 a.m. and bade farewell to the towns of Ston and Mali Ston and the wall that joins them. Today's destination: Polace on the island of Mljet. We motored back down the Stonski Kanal, again without encountering any other boat traffic. Once through the Stonski Kanal, we passed between the tiny islands of Olipa and Jakljan, crossing into the Mljetski Kanal. For the next 4 hours we motored, motor-sailed, sailed, then motored, finally arriving to Polace at 2:30 p.m. The wind varied from 5-12 knots.
