To return to town from the lake, it is possible to walk around the lakes, bike around the lakes or kayak in the lakes, but the park would close in a couple of hours and we decided to catch the bus back to Polace.
We had our first and hopefully not our last bottle of Dingac wine with dinner. The previous 2 nights we had Posip, a white wine primarily produced on the island of Korcula. Other areas on the islands and on the Peljesac Peninsula are known for the Plavac Mali grape, related to the Zinfandel grown in California. Wine produced from Plavac Mali grapes grown on the steep hills of the Dingac region of the Peljesac Peninsula is particularly reknowned.
After reading much about eating Peka style (cooking the meat or seafood and vegetables over embers for 2 hours), I was looking forward to this meal. I think the others liked it fine, but I found the lamb to be a little dry for my taste.
