Budapest is the capital and the most populous city of Hungary. We stayed at the Corinthia Hotel after arriving in Budapest in order to do some sightseeing before boarding the boat on Tuesday. The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is a bridge that spans the Danube River between Buda and Pest. It was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Hungary when it opened in 1849. This is the Corinthia Hotel. The hotel opened in 1896 as the Grand Hotel Royal, a hub for the elite of 19th century society, and has been restored and reopened as the Corinthia. |
