I've just received signed off prices for day tours this year and am starting to put together a schedule for this year's trips. We have you penciled in for two places for a Sumburgh and south Mainland tour on 11th August and I am checking with the guide for availability that day. Tour prices for the Sumburgh and South Mainland tour will be £165 per person for 3 people. You can book the tour either as part of a small group (max 8 people), in which case we would be able to reduce the price per person further to a minimum of £115 if others book onto the tour, or as a private tour for a cost of £575. Lunch is not included in the tour so we recommend that guests bring a packed lunch from the ship if at all possible in order to make the most of the time out. Once I've heard back from the guide and can confirm we are able to offer the tour I will be in touch and can send a booking form through. Best wishes, Susannah

From: Day Trips daytrips@shetlandnature.net Hello Beverley, I can confirm we'll have a guide available on 11th August. That's no problem with regard to lunches, the guide will be able to stop somewhere for you to pick something up. Whilst guests who are holidaying in Lerwick can join small group tours, we would only take cruiseship passengers from one ship to ensure we can fit in with the times people are in port. We put you in direct touch with the guide a few weeks before the tour and they arrange the meeting time and place with you. If you would like to make a booking, I would be grateful if you could complete and return the attached booking form. We ask for a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking, with the balance due the day before the tour starts. If your ship does not dock as planned, then the balance would be refunded. Payment details are on the booking form, but we can also send an invoice via PayPal if you would prefer to pay by card. As mentioned previously it will be £165 per person as part of a small group tour. We need a minimum of 3 people booked for the tour to run, but we'll be advertising it as a small group tour on our website. Best wishes, Susannah

Balblair have not yet set the Distillery tour times for this season as I have just been speaking with them and all should be set for next week so I will let you know... I can book this and you can pay by card on arrival at Balblair.. On the day please disembark for as close to 8.30 as possible. My son Thomas will be your host for the day. Rest assured you are in very good hands for the day.. We will be across the road at the passenger exit gate holding up our names... I will be in touch next week.
