May they rest in peace. Cementerio de la Recoleta (La Recoleta Cemetery) is a cemetery located in the Recoleta neighbourhood. It contains the graves of notable people, including Eva Perón, presidents of Argentina, Nobel Prize winners, the founder of the Argentine Navy, and military commanders such as Julio Argentino Roca.

Eva Perón is buried in the Duarte family tomb. The mausoleum bears the name Duarte, which was her maiden name. Following a tumultuous 20-year saga involving the theft and hiding of her body, she was finally laid to rest in 1976 in this secure, fortified crypt five meters underground to prevent further tampering.

Do not weep for me—lost or far away.
I am an essential part of your existence.
All love and pain were foreseen for me.
I fulfilled my humble imitation of Christ.
Whoever walked my path, let them follow it.
His female disciples.
